About me
I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Statistical Machine Learning group at ETH Zürich with Fanny Yang.
Previously, I received my PhD at the Empirical Inference Department, Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, Tuebingen, Germany, supervised by Krikamol Muandet and Bernhard Schölkopf. Before that, I obtained my MSc Statistics at ETH Zürich, supervised by Sara van de Geer, and BA and MMath (Part III) in Mathematics at the University of Cambridge.
I am interested in the foundations of causality (with a focus on its measure-theoretic axiomatisation) and statistical learning theory.
NEWS: I will be giving a tutorial at UAI 2026, to take place in Amsterdam on the 17th of August. The title of the tutorial is “Causal spaces: A mathematical axiomatisation of causality”. Please come by if you are interested!
NEWS: I am organising the ICML 2026 workshop, “Philosophy Meets Machine Learning”, to be held in Seoul, South Korea, on Saturday the 11th of July. If you’re at ICML, do drop by!
